Seniors of the National Hockey League and over 200 participants helped to raise more than $ 315,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation during the weekend of Hockey Heroes of BMO in June 2012.

Raymond Bourque, Stéphane Richer and Claude Lemieux were among the 12 NHL alumni to share the ice with fundraisers in the Moncton area.

Westmorland Fisheries collected more than $ 39,000 in support of this great cause. With the first choice within the 12 NHL alumni, choosing Claude Lemieux was the decision that helped them win the tournament.

"It was a great weekend for a good cause," states Russel Jacob, who individually collected $ 6,525.00 in addition to being a member of the team that raised the most money. "It's not everyday we have the chance to play with the NHL Alumni. This was very special."

Terry Wagner says that the foundation intends to bring the event to Moncton next year with four extra teams. If this is the case, Raymond Bourque says he will be there and so will Westmorland Fisheries.
